Workshop organised by Macmillan Education
The Workshop on the above said topic had been organized by Macmillan Education, India at ‘The Piccadily’, Emerald House, Janakpuri Centre Complex I, New Delhi. The Resource Person, Mrs. Alka Rai presided over the session wherein she stressed on the need to understand the Functions of English Language and the strategies to develop students’ English Languages Skills.
The Workshop was basically very interactive and comprised multifarious activities with the involvement of the Teachers at its maximum. The objective was to further enrich the different Functions of Language that would enhance the learner’s Language Skills. Various interesting activities were practically done by the teacher in the workshop. Passages and verses from prose and poetry were used to demonstrate various methods to enhance the Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing Skills. Discussion on the appropriate Intonations and Expressions were also touched upon. Strategies for developing Language Skills through Text within the speculated time period were well demonstrated and discussed.
It was an enlightening Workshop. We are grateful to our Principal Dr. Neeru Suman Ma’am for providing these opportunities to teachers for their enrichment and growth. It was a great learning experience. We are looking forward for more edifying workshops.
